In preparation for upcoming advanced TMS training in Charleston, we’ve been doing our homework. This means reading Dr. Mark George’s chapter on TMS in a book which will be published soon.
The chapter is so good we decided to check into ordering a copy of Anders Brahme’s book.
Having read a great deal of information about transcranial magnetic stimulation we were very glad to get our hands on part of this book prior to publication. It’s the best summary of the state of the art in the TMS world we’ve found. It confirms what we’ve been reading, and studying, and tells us the people we’ve talked to about magnetic stimulation therapy are on the same page as the big guns in the academic and research worlds.
We decided to hold off for now on buying a copy of the book, but don’t let that stop you from ordering one.
We’re still doing our homework on TMS…
The MUSC Brain Stimulation Intensive Course is just around the corner. We can hardly wait.
In our practice in Augusta, depression is responding remarkably well to TMS therapy. It’s easy to see how well the treatment works, and exciting to learn more every day.
Our goal is to stamp out depression worldwide beginning in our own backyard by treating the patients who come to us for treatment with this amazing technology, and by spreading information about the brain disease of depression, and effective treatments.
This little video, recorded live, and unedited may convey some of our excitement about TMS.
Sometimes homework is a lot of fun!
