It’s Simple To Help Yourself With Exercise…
You can help yourself with exercise, but no one can make you do it. We don’t want to make you do anything, but we’ll point out the importance of exercise, and it’s not just that exercise is vital for maintaining good physical health.
Exercising for the health of your body is just part of the equation…Exercise is vital for good brain health.
Exercising is extremely good for your body, but exercise is even more important for your brain than it is for your body. Isn’t that amazing? Why don’t we teach that in school? Exercise is more important for your brain than it is for your body!
Maintaining good mental health is so much more likely when you exercise regularly. You’ve gotta do it! It doesn’t matter what exercise you do, but having a few simple exercise methods to pick from will get you started if you’re not already a regular exerciser. Making exercise part of your daily routine will help you in so many ways.
In the interest of cutting to the chase – eliminating all the excuses – we’ll share with you an incredibly simple exercise method that will work for almost anyone.
Please watch this video…
Does it eliminate your excuses, or what?
No equipment. Any weather. You have enough room. Pajamas and bare feet are fine. Use furniture to help if it’s too hard. Start with one if that’s all you can do. Adding one more repetition every day or two will be easy enough.
Be consistent in exercising, and change exercise methods whenever you feel like it. Gardening counts. Yard work counts. Vigorously polishing the furniture counts. Climb the stairs whenever you can. Park further from the store when you’re shopping. Variety is good, just keep moving.
Here’s one more really simple exercise: Walking.
Walking is good stuff! Walk a third as far as you think you can. Turn around and go back where you started. Walk again tomorrow, or do some other kind of exercise if you want.
Exercise also includes any game or activity involving movement, particularly complex motor movement which encourages you to practice and improve.
Good exercise methods should improve your functional fitness, making you better able to do whatever you want in life. We’ve suggested these simple methods with the goal of functional fitness in mind, as well as the goal of improving your mood.
Exercise is flat out vital for you brain. You’ve got to be a regular exerciser in order to have a healthy brain.
Please join those who’ve tossed their excuses. Exercise regularly! Exercise improves the results of any treatment for depression including treatment with Advanced TMS using the NeuroStar Therapy System. It’s a simple practice you can do to help yourself.
At TMS Augusta we’re interested in stamping out depression worldwide beginning in our own backyard. We use all sorts of methods to accomplish this goal – spreading information about depression; high tech, non-invasive, direct treatment of the brain with magnetic stimulation therapy; medication; psychotherapy; and simple, do-it-yourself methods such as exercise – if it helps fix depression we like it.
Oh, by the way, exercising increases your motivation for more exercise. Try it. You might get hooked on feeling better.
