How do we find the beauty of life?
Do we have to wear robes, or become monks? While these may be fine things for some people to do, some people find the beauty of life by simply looking for it. They engage in mindful activities. They notice the simple beauty already right there in front of them. Their ordinary life is filled with repetitive opportunities to find beauty.
Maybe that’s how it is suppose to be but, is it always that easy to find beauty? We think not. There are sometimes some serious stumbling blocks to finding beauty, and becoming happier.
What about people suffering from depression? Because depression clouds the minds of its victims it veils the beauty around them. This is so sad. It’s simply impossible for some depressed people to shift their point of view, and look beyond their dark clouds to see the beauty the world has to offer.
At TMS Augusta we’re forever extolling the virtues of the-glass-is-half-full paradigm shifts, but we also recognize the very serious psychiatric brain diseases overburden attempts to see the beauty which so often resides just beyond life’s normal challenges. It’s not a trivial problem, not one easily surmounted, not for folks suffering with clinical depression.
We believe beauty is there for everyone to experience, but stumbling blocks such as depression sometimes have to be removed. Powerful tools are needed. It’s a big job.
We’re so glad to have another way to treat depression – a powerful tool called the NeuroStar TMS Therapy System – because we want everyone to have the same opportunity to see the beauty of life. That includes depressed people who don’t want to take medications, or who have terrible side effects with antidepressants, or who find that the worst side effect of all is that the medicines simply don’t work for them.
Thousands of people have found a lifesaver in TMS. Their minds are again open to the beauty of life.
